Bear Trap formation generator

Archers are shared across the rallies that matter most, then Cavalry fills the gap and Infantry takes what is left. Every march keeps a minimum share of all three troop types — if your inventory cannot support that, deployable capacity is reduced instead of producing a formation you cannot actually send.

Strategy

Defaults match the RocketNoodles model. Change these only if you have tested something better.

How the split is decided

  1. 1. Work out what you can actually deploy. The smallest of your total troops, your marches’ combined capacity, and the limit set by your scarcest troop type. Holding a minimum share in every march means the scarcest type caps everything.
  2. 2. Give every march its floor. Each active march is guaranteed the minimum of Infantry, Cavalry and Archers before anything else is handed out.
  3. 3. Share the archers by priority. The primary strong lead aims highest, other strong leads next, secondary rallies last. If archers run short they are split in proportion to demand rather than filling the first march and starving the rest.
  4. 4. Fill with Cavalry, then Infantry. Whatever capacity the archers did not use goes to Cavalry first. Infantry stays lowest wherever your inventory allows.

Frequently asked

Do I need an account?
No. The generator runs entirely in your browser and your numbers are remembered on this device. Use a share link to send a plan to your alliance.
Why is my capacity lower than expected?
One troop type is short. Because every march must hold a minimum share of all three types, running low on one caps how much of the others you can deploy. The panel above names the type that is limiting you.
Is this an exact damage calculator?
No — it is a formation allocation tool. Century Games does not publish the full Bear damage formula, so this distributes troops according to a tested strategy rather than predicting a damage number.
